Conference Size: Limited to 4,000 attendees
The size is limited to maintain an appropriate setting for scientific exchange.
Registration is generally limited to:
- Researchers actively participating in investigations in clinical studies of retroviral diseases and their complications;
- Clinicians and academics who are full-time faculty responsible for HIV programs;
- AIDS Community Educators (very limited number of attendees allowed; click here for more information)
- Media (very limited number of attendees allowed; click here for more information);
- Financial analysts
- Venture capitalists
- Public relations firms
- Medical communications companies
- Tour groups or similar groups whose attendance or travel is sponsored by industry
- Personnel whose primary roles and responsibilities are:
- non-directorship level personnel in clinical or product development
- marketing or post-marketing outcomes research
- medical affairs
- medical/scientific liaison
- professional relations
- project or product management
- regulatory affairs
- strategic planning
Please note: Exceptions may be made for the above ineligible attendees if they are abstract authors and actively involved in research.
The Conference Secretariat reserves the right to disapprove or rescind the registration or housing of any individual who does not meet the criteria set forth by the Scientific Program Committee.
Week of December 3, 2013: Registration and housing open for invited faculty, abstract authors with accepted abstracts, and young investigator awardees.
Please note: The abstract authors’ email addresses must have been provided during the abstract submission process to permit Registration and Housing at this time.
Week of December 11, 2013: All other researchers and clinicians are invited to apply to register. All registration applications will be reviewed and then processed on a first-come, first-served basis. On notification by email that the criteria have been met, these attendees will be able to complete their registration by a secure link.
Please note: Because of the significant number of requests received as soon as registration opens, applications are processed every 24 hours.
February 1, 2014: Registration and housing will close.
Please note: This date may change when the registration limit of 4,000 is reached.
There will be no onsite registration.
The registration fee for the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI 2014) is US $730.
Individuals are encouraged to complete their own application to ensure that the information is accurate and to expedite the registration process.
Tour groups and travel agents are not permitted to use our registration site to secure multiple registrations.
Confirmations will be sent via email following the approval of the registration application. Registration applications will generally be processed within 10 to 12 business days of submission.
No registration substitutions will be allowed. This policy is to ensure equal access for all participants. Registrants will be asked to provide photo identification when picking up registration materials onsite.
Registration cancellations must be made in writing by email to CROIregistration@iasusa.org or faxed to 415.544.9401. If you cancel your application prior to being accepted and registering, there will be no cancellation fee. If you wish to cancel once you are registered and do so prior to February 1, 2014 you will receive a refund of your registration fee less $150 administration fee. Individuals whose cancellations are received in writing after February 1, 2014 will not receive any refund. Hotel reservations will be charged 1 nights stay if cancelled within 24 hours of scheduled check in time and date.
Please be prepared to show photo ID onsite in order to receive your Conference badge. The Program and Abstract Book will be available in electronic form only (ie, no printed Program and Abstract Book will be distributed).
